  • History of development
BARS has been developed with the support of Natural England, the Countryside Council for Wales, the Wales Biodiversity Partnership, the Scottish Executive, Scottish Natural Heritage and the Environment Agency.  More history >
  • How does BARS work?
At the heart of BARS is a web-based application that allows everyone working on BAPs at national and local level to maintain their data in a secure environment. These data are integrated across users and organisations to provide an overview of BAP progress for each species and habitat and at different geographical scales. Non-confidential data can be accessed through a public website.  More about how BARS works >
  • Who uses BARS?
BARS can be used by anyone involved in delivering BAPs at local or national level.  More about who uses BARS >
  • User statistics
