Web services

BARS web services have been built to allow you to access and display BARS data in a very flexible way. They enable information stored in the BARS database to be used in other web sites and even by the software that you use on your desktop. Web services allow you to design a web page that displays data in BARS according to your own specifications. You could, for example, include targets and actions stored in BARS on a LBAP partnership website.

Web services work by incorporating code into your own web page that instantaneously requests the relevant data from BARS. An important advantage of this is that you don't have to maintain or update the data displayed on your website since they are coming from the BARS web service. Your website will be as up-to-date as the data that is in BARS. BARS web services use industry standard technology which any web developer will be familiar with.

Following the links below will take you to details about the web services that are available. Please contact us if you have any problems with the web services and also let us know when you have used them successfully. We will list example sites that have used web services as they become available.
