Action maps web service

Returns a link to a graphic showing the geographical distribution of actions matching a combination of the specified input parameters.

Inputs

Name	Description
Country	One of the following values - 'UK', 'England', 'NorthernIreland', 'Scotland', 'Wales' or 'All'. Used to define the scope of the map.
Organisation	The name of an organisation delivering an action. Actions where a member of the specified organisation is listed as a contact will be returned.
Habitat	The name of a habitat. Actions which are working on the specific habitat will be returned.
Species	The name of a species - must be specified using its scientific (latin) name. Actions which are working on the specific species will be returned.

Outputs

Name		Description
URL		URL of a JPEG format image showing the geographical distribution of actions matching the input parameters.
Height		Height of the image in pixels.
Width		Width of the image in pixels.
HTML		HTML image map code which can be added to a client HTML page in order to make the image clickable. In this case, clicking on a county will take the user to a list of actions taking place in that county matching the input parameters. This list will be on the BARS website.
Min		Minimum number of actions found in a county.
Max		Maximum number of actions found in a county.
Breakdown		Text based breakdown of the action map data (for counties with more than one action matching the input parameters) - see below.
	Country	Country name.
	Region	Region name (within England only).
	County	County name.
	Actions	Number of actions taking place within this county matching the input parameters.
	URL	URL of a page on the BARS website displaying a list of the actions taking place within this county matching the input parameters.

Notes

Action map images are created on demand on the BARS server and are only available for a short time after the web service is called.
