17/04/2008 Target achieved Annual programme of public events run to raise awareness for Bittern & reedbed conservation in Hertfordshire. LVRPA have built a Bittern Information Hide with CCTV & interpretation, also run 'Aren't birds brilliant - Bitterns' & Lee Valley Wildlife Fair. HMWT organise annual Herts Bittern Day each year with guided walks & roost watches held by partners througout Herts on most reedbed sites (Amwell Nature Reserve, Rye Meads Nature Reserve, Lee Valley Park, Tring Reservoirs). IEEM courses on Reedbeds and Bitterns have been run in the Lee Valley by HMWT.
