Lowland Calcareous Grassland

Plan status: Implementation underway

Vision statement

Lowland calcareous grasslands develop on shallow lime-rich soils generally overlying limestone rocks - in Sussex it occurs exclusively on chalk. This action plan aims to maintain and expand the range of lowland calcareous grassland in Sussex.
